Inspired by his own cat, Mieze, Klaus sought to create a hygienic litter tray that solved the issues he faced with plastic trays. As the owner of Emailleschilder von Halem GmbH, his expertise in enamel led to the creation of Katchit, ensuring a cleaner home and healthier house plants.
 
Christian Schäffler
A seasoned designer of high-quality sanitary products, Christian noticed that traditional cat litter trays were neither functional nor aesthetically pleasing. His vision for Katchit included a round shape that aligns with a cat’s natural behavior and a design that complements any living space.
 
Hygiene and Material Excellence
The Katchit litter tray sets new hygiene standards with its easy-to-clean, non-porous enamel surface that doesn’t retain odors. Made from steel sheet plate coated with enamel and anodized aluminum. The enamel is melted onto the steel at high temperatures. This creates a glass-like surface which is very resistant to scratching and to acids and lyes. Durable and fully recyclable, Katchit is built to last.
